FAQS

Clinical Pilates is a form of Pilates conducted by qualified physiotherapists, focusing on improving movement and function of injured muscles while reducing pain. It combines physiotherapy principles with Pilates exercises to create personalised rehabilitation programmes.

Unlike regular Pilates, which often follows a generalised approach in group settings, Clinical Pilates is tailored to an individual’s specific injuries and rehabilitation needs. It is conducted one-on-one with a physiotherapist, ensuring exercises are safe and aligned with the patient’s recovery goals.

Clinical Pilates is suitable for individuals of all ages and fitness levels, especially those recovering from injuries, managing chronic pain, or seeking to improve core strength, flexibility, and balance. It is particularly effective for conditions like lower back and neck pain.

It is recommended to wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing that allows for easy movement, such as athletic wear. Grip socks, also known as Pilates socks, are advisable to prevent slipping on the equipment.

Physio Pro accepts all health funds. However, coverage for Clinical Pilates sessions may vary depending on your specific health insurance policy. It’s advisable to check with your insurer to determine your entitlements.
