FAQ
Do I need a referral?
You can use the services of physiotherapists privately at any time without the need of a referral from your doctor. If you are claiming the injury through a third party provider, such as Workcover, Insurance Commission of Western Australia or Veterans Affairs, then you will need to obtain a referral.
Does private health insurance cover my treatment?
Most policies with ancillary or extras cover will provide a rebate for physiotherapy services. We can provide immediate benefit through the Hicaps system. Check with your health provider for your rebate level.
Does Medicare cover my treatment?
Medicare does not generally cover physiotherapy or clinical pilates. However, the recently introduced Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) scheme now permits doctors to approve up to five allied health services per year on referral. Please discuss this option with either your physiotherapist or treating doctor to see if you qualify.
Do you treat Workcover or Insurance patients?
Workcover and insurance patients are welcomed for treatment with a referral from their treating doctor. We are highly skilled with rehabilitating injuries of all kinds. For back injuries we provide full strengthening rehabilitation with our pilates and fitball programs.
What are the terms for cancellation and payment?
We request at least 24 hours notice to avoid any charges for the reserved appointment. Payment in full is required at the time of consultation and we accept cash, cheque, EFTPOS, Visa and MasterCard for the gap not covered by Hicaps.
How long does an appointment take?
Set aside 20 to 30 minutes for each consultation.
Can I make appointments via email?
To ensure you receive the best service for your individual situation, we request that all appointments be made or changed by phone.
Can I contact my Practitioner via email?
As a medico-legal requirement and to ensure clients receive appropriate time and care from their Practitioner, patient care cannot be discussed by email.
What do I bring to my appointment?
All patients are asked to bring any referral letters and relevant test results such as x-rays, MRI or CT reports.
What should I wear?
We recommend track pants, leggings, or shorts and a T-shirt. For physiotherapy treatment of injuries in lower limbs, you may be comfortable in a pair of shorts. Your Practitioner can advise you on what may be comfortable when you book your appointment.
Is parking available?
Parking is conveniently located at the front of the practice.
